Hollywood Actress Rachel Weisz in Talks for "The Bourne Legacy"

We've been hearing that Rachel Weisz may co-star in the new "James Bond" film. The actress is also in talks to play an evil witch in Sam Raimi's "The Wizard of Oz" prequel. And now comes word that she is currently in negotiations to join Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) in "The Bourne Legacy."

There is a good chance that she won't be able to appear in all three films. "James Bond 23" start shooting late this year. "Oz: The Great and Powerful" will go into production this summer. And the "Bourne" spin-off begins filming in September.

In "The Bourne Legacy," Renner will play a new character, an operative from a covert government program that is even more dangerous that the Treadstone brainwashing program that hatched Bourne.

James Bond Will Return: Sony To Distribute 'Bond 23' & 'Bond 24'

Sony Pictures Entertainment has saved James Bond. With MGM, the studio will co-finance, theatrically market and distribute Bond 23 worldwide, announced MGM Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officers Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum and Sony Pictures Chairman and CEO Michael Lynton and Co-Chairman Amy Pascal. Bond 23, the next film in the franchise, will release on November 9, 2012. Bond 24 has no specific date, but will be co-financed by Sony and MGM in a similar manner. Great news? Of course.

But unfortunately, this news also means that males like myself will have to see Daniel Craig in a swimsuit again, which will undoubtedly make our girlfriends/wives/partners look at us during the film as we sloppily toss greasy popcorn into our mouths and comment about each "sweet-ass" explosion and wonder just what the hell they're doing with our sorry asses.

Sam Mendes will direct this latest installment, with franchise regular Judi Dench reprising her role as M.
