Five Hottest British Actresses

There is something undeniably irresistible about hot British actresses. Sure, part of it is the accent, no doubt. It is a real turn-on. But there is something else that makes guys fantasize about these beauties. In interviews, most seem so prim and proper that it makes you suspect that there might be a bit of a freak inside there; a part that you would love to bring out.
That is the dream, at least. British actresses have been coming across the pond even more in recent years and many times you would not even know that a favorite new actress of yours is a Brit until you end up hearing her interviewed on a late night talk show.

Kate Beckinsale – Kate is at the top of the list and she has been for some time. Although she is approaching the big four-O, Becks is as hot as ever. She is kind of like the British Jennifer Connelly; she is a woman who has kept her natural beauty intact over the years. Her mainstream American exposure came as Josh Hartnett and Ben Affleck's love interest in the 2001's "Pearl Harbor.” Her sexiest role was as the sexy vampire warrior Selene in the first two “Underworld” films – a role she is set to reprise in 2012's “Underworld Awakening.” Her skin-tight, black latex/spandex/something-ex costume from “Underworld” shows off one of her best features – her terrific bum. Kate will also be starring as bad girl Lori in the “Total Recall” remake next year.

Keira Knightley – Keira has not been around forever, it just seems that way. She is still a mere lass of 26 and is a very accomplished actress. She burst upon the scene as damsel in distress Elizabeth Swann in 2003's “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.” It turns out Keira could more than take care of herself as she wielded her sword, her wit and her incredible hotness in increasingly skimpy outfits through the first three “Pirates” films. She played sexy bounty hunter Domino Harvey in 2005's “Domino,” and has several films coming out in the next year. Keira is a straight-up fox who should be steaming up the big screen for many years to come.

Hayley Atwell – If you want humps and lovely lady lumps, Hayley's got them. This curvacious Brit has a body that just will not quit. She caught American eyes as Agent Peggy Carter in “Captain America: The First Avenger.” This beautifully well-endowed Brit is an actress you just can not take your eyes off of and seems destined to head straight to the top of A-list actresses.

Gemma Arterton – This 25-year-old bombshell got her big break as new Bond girl Strawberry Fields in 2008's “Quantum of Solace.” She followed that up with two hit films in 2010 when she appeared in “Clash of the Titans” and “Prince of Persia,” both of which allowed her to showcase her sexy assets in nicely revealing costumes. She also got erotic in “The Disappearance of Alice Creed” that same year as she had some fairly graphic nude scenes. This daughter of a maid and a welder who grew up in public housing in England has really made it big.

Emma Watson – Little Hermione sure has grown up. At  21 years old, Emma has spent half of her life playing the cute know-it-all sidekick to Harry Potter in all eight Potter films. With the Potter series over, Emma is moving her career into more adult-oriented films. She will appear in “My Week With Marilyn” at the end of this year and will star in the film adaptation of “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” in 2012. The young hottie also models and is a student at Brown University (currently taking a break).

Robert Pattinson: "I wanna get a tan"

Robert Pattinson has acknowledged the huge impact that The Twilight Saga has had on his career.

The actor, who is currently starring opposite Reese Witherspoon in Water for Elephants, recently revealed that he prefers promoting the period drama over his appearances for the vampire franchise.

However, Pattinson told The Mirror that, while he will be glad when filming for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 ends, he is very aware of the positive effect the movies have had on his career.

"I owe these films everything and it has been amazing," Pattinson explained. "But it will also be good to say goodbye.

"I wanna get a tan, show people there is more to me than Edward the vampire... Pale skin and red eyes is not a good look for me!" he joked.

The 24-year-old actor also said that he and co-star Kristen Stewart had faced "the most emotional ride" when filming Breaking Dawn - Part 1.

"We get married in the film, have a baby. The birth scenes were pretty traumatic," he admitted.

Pattinson has previously teased that the upcoming instalment of The Twilight Saga - which is scheduled for a November 18 release - is "a horror movie".

"James Bond" Daniel Craig & Rooney Mara: 'Tattoo' Twosome in Sweden

Daniel Craig and co-star Rooney Mara get back to work on their new film, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, on Friday (May 6), in Stockholm, Sweden.

Rooney, 26, got into her character, Lisbeth Salander, with a cropped jet black hairdo and an all black wardrobe while shooting a motorcycle scene.

Daniel, meanwhile, was spotted in a pair of jeans and a black coat around the film’s set, which was sprayed with artificial snow to make it look like winter.

The 43-year-old British actor will also be lending his voice to the BBC Earth Films feature One Life.

Daniel will narrate the natural history documentary, which captures the Darwinian struggle for survival, highlighting the connection between human and animals, Variety reports.

Movie Review: Attack The Block

Attack The Block, or Attack Da Block, Yo, Innit, if we want to go for the full street effect, is a riotous blast of sci-fi with a quintessential British sense of humour. That doesn't mean its laugh-out-loud every step of the way, no, its comedy lies in the premise as much as offering visual gags and one-liners.

Despite the cast mixing up American and British slang (they our British bobbies 'Feds', for example) and dealing with outer space beasties, this is a very British affair. Forget Richard Curtis' smug Oxbridge rom-coms with their calculated international appeal and picture-postcard London.

Director Joe Cornish offers a more convincing portrayal of modern city and its inhabitants. It isn't some Broken Britain rant or a Ken Loach movie with aliens. Although that would be interesting to see. Instead it's a half-believable portrayal of kids lives on a council estate in south London. Basically they smoke weed, mug strangers and talk shit. Then some aliens turn up.

Moses, Pest, Jerome and the gang are little thugs who in the opening scene mug a young nurse walking home at night after work. The opener is highly convincing and even scary. It's depressingly accurate. The movie's origin lies in Cornish's own mugging six years ago. Instead of 'taking out the scum' and making Harry Brown, he made a fun sci-fi comedy where 'inner city meets outer space'.

Cornish plays a very neat trick as his central characters, at first, are very unlikeable. He coaxes out sympathy and understanding as the story goes on. It might not be totally convincing, but at least he tries to offer an emotional arc. Once the alien lands and the kids, naturally, kick the shit out of it and parade it around their estate like a trophy, the shit hits the fan and they learn - very quickly - that their actions have consequences.

In some ways Attack The Block is reminiscent of last year's French zombie actioner The Horde. The high rise council block is the locale for a fantasy event where different types of people come together in an uneasy alliance. When all hell breaks loose the young lads and gals stand up to the terror and slowly but surely open up as human beings. Moses has a troubled background and looks older than he actually is. Pest gets most of the film's big laughs whether he's trying to chat up the nurse they've come to rely on after mugging, or admitting the whole scenario is scary but "sick" at the same time.

Cornish's debut is an assured film and lots of fun. The street lingo is spot on and often bemusing. It also looks fantastic - and most importantly - cinematic. One scene involving aliens, a smoke-filled corridor and the gang is genuinely creepy. It stops being a comedy for a moment and enters the horror world. Amazingly, Cornish isn't above killing off the odd kid, either. This is a comedy, sure, but it's not Monster Squad or Goonie larks.

Daniel Radcliffe & Robert Pattinson Top Money List Of British Stars Under 30

Edward Cullen in the three Twilight films - is the second richest UK film star under 30, with a total fortune of $50,000,000.  Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe at only 21 comes in first , 21, tops the list with $70,000,000 including earnings of $10 million last year.  Robert Pattinson is reportedly set to net 2.5 per cent of the next two Twilights’ takings and that could help move him to number 1.

The Sunday Times list puts Keira Knightly in third with $48 million.   Keira Chaplin – grand-daughter of Charlie Chaplin – is fourth with $45 million, and Potter stars Rubert Grint and Emma Watson are tied for fifth with $37million.

Whatever the standings are now, the trajectory of Robert Pattinson’s earnings outstrip the others – his popularity as a leading man means that he is likely to earn more than all of his young British competition in the future.

Meanwhile, just for some perspective – J.K. Rowling’s wealth is estimated at over 1 billion dollars!
