As usual, Heidi Klum and her hubby went all out for Halloween this year - as if we expected anything less. This year for their annual Halloween party, the statuesque 37-year old model and mother of three dressed up what she called a "superhero" but looked like some sort of alien transformer while her husband Seal was the Silver Surfer in a shiny muscle suit. All decked out in purple and red, Klum stood nearly eight feet tall thanks to the red boot extensions that were two feet tall! Walking around in these costume boots looks like it might require lessons from a stilt-walker!
The foundation of Klum's Halloween costume was a cat suit of purple metallic Lycra and then red plastic robot parts were attached all about making her look like a larger-than life kid's toy. Klum's costume was designed in part by designer Martin Izquierdo, a specialist of more theatrical type costumes including the famous Victoria's Secret wings the some of the country costumes worn by Miss Universe contestants.
Purple face paint was also added to Klum's face and neck to give her the all-over purple look to match her purple suit. In addition to the purple face paint, she also had a matching purple wig and two rows of prosthetic teeth that were sharply pointed. You could never fly under the radar in this look-at-me costume!
In past years, Klum has also thrown her whole self into the wearing of crazy Halloween costumes. For example, she's been a cat, an eight-armed blue goddess and once, when pregnant, she wore a big belly-covering red apple wrapped with a faux snake from the Garden of Eden. Her Halloween party is always a star-studded affair with some of the most creative costumes in New York City.
